Find Team Building Activity 2024
On April 5, 2024, the Find Team conducted their Team Building Activity at J’Maire Farm in Brgy. Sibaguan, Lambunao, Iloilo with the theme “Bridging Beyond the Office.”
We were honored to have Dr. Bella Antonia Lorilla as our guest speaker. She delivered a talk on “Achieving Well-Being through Stress Management and Work-Life Balance.” In her presentation, she emphasised that our mental health is a crucial aspect of our overall well-being. Here are the key points she covered:
- Self-Esteem and Self-Worth: Your mental health significantly influences how you perceive yourself. It impacts on your self-esteem and self-worth, affecting your confidence and ability to navigate life’s challenges.


- Social Interaction: Mental health plays a pivotal role in how you connect with others. It affects your relationships, communication, and social interactions. When your mental health is stable, you’re better equipped to build meaningful connections.
- Finding Meaning and Value: A healthy mind allows you to find purpose and meaning in your life. It enables you to engage in activities that bring fulfillment and satisfaction.
- Psychological Functioning: Mental health directly impacts cognitive functions such as memory, problem-solving, and decision-making. A well-functioning mind enhances your ability to adapt and thrive.
- Physical Well-Being: Surprisingly, mental health also influences physical health.
- Mental Health Disorders: Whether or not you have a diagnosed mental health disorder, maintaining good mental health is essential. It contributes to your overall quality of life and resilience in the face of adversity.
Dr. Lorilla also discussed the concept of ‘Eustress’, which is a type of good stress that energised and motivates us to make a change. It gives us a positive outlook and makes us capable of overcoming obstacles and sickness. On the other hand, ‘Distress’ is stress that negatively affects us. She provided practical steps for prioritising tasks:
List down all tasks that need to be done.
Identify which tasks are more important.
Focus on what is urgent.
Prioritising tasks based on importance and urgency.
By the end of the discussion, we were able to define stress, differentiate eustress from distress, identify job conditions that may lead to stress, and understand the importance of work-life balance.
